Engineered valves from Chromatic Industries

HCV (Hemi cartridge valve)

The HCV valve (HEMI cartridge valve) is an innovation that incorporates many positive features from other valve types. These features are combined into a single design platform unique to the Chromatic HCV product line, and not found in any other valve on the market. The HCV is adaptive to a variety of process applications from low to high temperatures; clean to dirty service; and on-off to control.

Key Features and Benefits:

  • Reliable Mechanical Wedge Seal
  • Stationary Fixed Core
  • Unique Cartridge Design
  • Quarter Turn Operation

DOV (Double Offset Valve)

Double Isolation and Bleed (DIB) is defined as "a single valve with two seating surfaces, each of which, in the closed position, provides a seal against pressure from a single source, with a means of venting/bleeding the cavity between the seating surfaces." The Chromatic DOV is designed to provide two mechanical wedge seals to perform the DIB function. The body cavity of the DOV is equipped with a relief system that will allow body pressure to relieve and equalize with the upstream side of the valve. Other options are available for the DOV relief system to include pressure gauges or leak off tubes for draining the body.

Key Features and Benefits:

  • Provides a seal against pressure from a single source
  • Two mechanical wedge seals
  • Additional options for gauges and leak off tubes

EBV (Extended Body Valve)

Always Serviceable Regardless of Location

The EBV valve (Extended Body Valve) is a simple and innovative extension of the HCV. The EBV was designed specifically for buried valve applications with above ground maintenance in mind. The UNIQUE cartridge design enables the entire trim of the valve to be assembled at one time allowing the body to remain in line during periods of maintenance.

The body extension is a single section of pipe welded between the top of the valve body and top bonnet. The pipe section is rated and pressure tested to the same parameters as the valve body. The EBV can be supplied as a double block and bleed without the need for sub-surface bleed connections.

The EBV is an excellent option for buried drain valves, buried manifolds, buried pump control valves and has been manufactured with extensions up to 10 feet.

Key Features and Benefits:

  • Quarter Turn Operation
  • Reliable Mechanical Wedge Seal
  • Stationary Fixed Core
  • Unique Cartridge Design

FCV (Flow Control Valve)

Engineered for control

The Chromatic FCV valve (Flow Control Valve) is an engineered rotary control valve that can be applied to a variety of flow and pressure control applications. The FCV can be applied in gas, liquid and slurry control valve duties. The FCV HEMI can be designed with a specific port opening based on the customers flow conditions. Port designs are readily available in 30-60-90 degree V-port and characterized trim for specific conditions. Options are available for anti-cavitation and severe service.

Key Features and Benefits:

  • Unique Cartridge Design
  • Unique Profile
  • Stationary Fixed Core
  • Reliable Mechanical Wedge Seal
  • Quarter Turn Operation
